Latest Updates for The Kids Clubhouse

Welcome back to The Kids Clubhouse blog page!  I apologize that it has taken such a long time to write this blog post but in all honesty, life and business has been incredibly hectic and crazy...trying to update all the social media pages, running the Pop Up location and closing it down, overseeing the build-out of the permanent location and the most important job of all...taking care of my family.  So now I am going to sit down and try to answer questions that many, many customers have been asking.  Here are the most Frequently Asked Questions:



Q:  When will the permanent location be open?
A:  As of today, 7/11/19, we are still waiting for our plans to be approved and obtain permits from the City of Rancho Mirage.  It has been approximately 4 months since we moved into the permanent space (Suite A174). My architect and contractor have been working tirelessly to move things along.  But like any business venture, there is tons of red tape to get through.   I don't think many know how difficult it is to open up a business like this...especially in a city like Rancho Mirage.  With that being said, I can't give a date for Opening until I finally get the permits to start the construction of the extra bathrooms that are required by the City.  Once permits are given and construction starts, it would be approximately 8-10 weeks to opening day (granted nothing goes wrong during the construction phase!!)

Q:  What days and times will you be open?
A:  The Kids Clubhouse will be open 7 days a week.    
Hours of operation will be:  Monday - Thursday 10:00am - 8:00pm,  
Friday - Sunday 10:00am - 9:00pm
We will observe and close for the following holidays - Easter, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Q:  What will the pricing be for Open Play passes?
A:  Open Play passes will be good for all day admission. That means you will be able to go in and out as often as you like for the entire day until we close.  Pricing will be as follows:  
Monday - Friday    $12.00 for 1 child,  $8.00 for sibling(s)
Saturday & Sunday    $15.00 for 1 child,  $12.00 for sibling(s)
2 parents/adults per family unit are Free.  $5.00 per adult after the 2 free adults. 

Q:  Will you be offering memberships?
A:  We will be offering a limited amount of monthly memberships.  Please see our flyer below for all the great benefits membership has to offer.



Q:  Will you have a private party room?
A:  Yes!  We will have a party room that can be rented out for private parties and events.

Q:  How much will it be to have a party there? and what will it include?
A:  The base price for a private party will be $425.00.  Here's what's included:

-20 Kids Clubhouse party invitations (customized with party celebrant's name, age and date of party)...printed and digital
-Up to 20 children - $12 for each additional child.  Parents are free (2 adults per family)
-2 hours in a private party room​
-Extra 45 minutes to set up and 15 minutes to clean up
-A dedicated party assistant to help with set up, clean up, cake cutting, organizing and monitoring time and anything the party host may need
-Party host is allowed to bring outside food and beverages (no alcohol) and of course, cake!
-Use of up to 4 chaffing trays to keep your food warm
-A photo booth set up - complete with party props and emailed photo booth strips
-Unlimited play time before and after the party
-A return open play pass for the birthday celebrant and a friend

Q:  How far in advance do I need to reserve for a party?
A:  Once we are up and running, reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance.  We will have specific time blocks for parties.  The 2 hour time blocks will be:  11:00am-1:00pm,  2:00pm-4:00pm,  5:00pm-7:00pm.   Until we have a definitive opening date, we will not be taking reservations for parties.

Q:  Will you still have a balloon store like you did in the Pop Up?
A:  We are definitely going to keep the balloon store inside The Kids Clubhouse.  It will be renamed "TKC balloons" (instead of the Balloon Boutique).   We'll be able to offer twice as much balloon gifts and decor than the Pop Up.  Also, customers who add-on balloon decor for their private party will get a discounted rate!

Q:  What can I do to help get The Kids Clubhouse to open sooner rather than later??!!  **This is the most important question**
A:  Many of our awesome past customers have been asking what they can do to show support and help get The Kids Clubhouse open.   Although we know that the City of Rancho Mirage can't and/or won't hurry the process along, there is something that would be incredible for our customers to help out with.  The ownership group of The River (a corporation named CheerLand) is skeptical and wavering in their support of this endeavor, since it has been such a bumpy road to getting it opened.  
**My request for the loyal customers that would like to help...please email a brief letter to CheerLand and let them know that you (and your child(ren) are waiting and expecting The Kids Clubhouse to open at The River and how this playground will be beneficial to you, your child and the community.

Today, I spent a few hours in the space trying to clean and organize before the build out begins.  I've received the first proposal from my general contractor and now I'm waiting for the second contractor proposal to come in.  As soon as I get the 2nd proposal, we (my husband and I) will make the decision on who to hire and then get started!! This is such an exciting time because I can finally see the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.  So if everything keeps going as planned, we will start construction for the build out in 2-3 weeks.  Construction time is estimated at 10-12 weeks...granted nothing goes wrong during construction (crossing my fingers!).
